We started off in 2003 as a home-based travel agency in Portland, Oregon with the name Ritz Travelz when Ritu Panesar, the founder of the company, recognized the need for high quality service and professionalism in the travel industry catering to the Indian immigrants living in the USA. The business continued to run as a sole proprietor until 2005 until she and her family decided to relocate to Bangalore. Her brother, Puneet, who brought in expertise in sales, training and administration, also joined Ritu.
High technology phone systems, emails and the Internet were some very useful tools in bringing the operations of our company to India. Together, Ritu and Puneet aspired to create a business that was focused on outstanding service and competitive fares and decided to scale up operations to include travel connections all over the world.
The company now has various offices with a presence in the USA as an Incorporation with backend operations in Chandigarh, India. Within 3 years, we have grown from a company with three people to a thriving organization of thirty five full time employees, and we plan to keep growing! Soon we are planning to grow into Religious tourism, Culinary tourism and many more travel segments to meet the changing nature of tourism.
